A russian billionaire has bought over the Independent – the newspaper. He is a former KGB agent and many think he knows what he is doing. He thinks it is a bargain. He bought the Evening Standard newspaper for £1 last year, and is currently negotiating with Independent News and Media (INM) to buy the Independent and Independent on Sunday.
A deal appears imminent, and the rumoured price? One pound – the cost of one copy of the daily newspaper.
But, is it worth it? Not very sure!!
