Recession has hit the teenagers badly

One out of five black men of the age 20 to 24 is found to be not going to school or work. University of Boston in a employment research found that recession is the reason behind that. In 2007 recession began an teenagers had a bad time finding jobs.

The people of low income group saw their teenage children depend on their par time jobs. The Census Bureau data revealed that around 26% of American teenagers had jobs in 2009.

The unemployment rate stood at 10 % at December in United States. Some people have got discouraged and stopped searching for a job. The unemployment was more in the age of 16 to 24. The government has taken lot of corrective steps to re enroll the school dropouts.

But nothing seems to be really working. The US economy could really face long term problems if a good percentage of teenagers are out of jobs for longer duration.
