Junk food can cause depression

The junk food not only helps you gain weight in your waistline. But also the junk food is bad for your mental health. A research was conducted among 3,486 men and women of the average age group of 55 years.

The British and French scientist took the recordings of these people working in London offices. The volunteers were asked to fill an questionnaire how often the person ate a specific junk. The patterns were split into healthy food and processed foods. The healthy foods included fruits, vegetables and fish whereas the processed foods included sweetened desserts, chocolates, fried foods meat high dairy products.

The same volunteers were questioned after 5 years the same questions. The result showed that processed foods lead to more depression. The volunteers who ate healthier foods faced less depression. The study further showed the relation between the diet and the depressive symptoms. Healthy life style can help us have a good body and disease free life.
