Students of Californian universities are taking to protest and strike after their fees were hiked sharply. The fees of University of California went up by about 30 percent making it expensive than the public schools in other States. They remark that this would affect the higher education in the state adversely. They have accused the government on not showing priority to education and on the pretext of recession have taken them to tasks.
The protest saw hundreds of students, faculties and staff members rallying in the University of California campus.
The students were expected to rally public schools and other universities throughout the state.
